I was changing up the Coaching Workbook as I got ready for a new client (I put the happy fish on the front…I love that pic.).
I use a paper workbook because there is nothing quite like feeling something in your hands – writing something with a pen or pencil.
There is some science to back up the fact that you deepen concepts when you handwrite – it takes longer so you are forced to linger over the written word. It’s harder, takes more effort and forces your brain to engage with the information for longer. It makes it sink in better.
This helps build more neurology around what you want – your goal!
This is really useful when you want to create a new way of being.
So a quick tip – if you want to embed a change – don’t just type it – hand write it! (PS: drawing is also awesome to embed change…imagery adds another layer of connection!).
